A wee bit about me as a human
I like to drink too much coffee, am a sunny weather biker and love being with my tiny humans. I make art & journal in my free time. I always have 5 - 8 books on the go at one time (and will be quick to admit that I don’t always finish them). I no longer have a strong opinion about whether I am a cat or a dog person - they are both very nice and a lot of work :)

Kate Gomboc
I am a Mom, wife, sports enthusiast, ski coach, conservation advocate, hunter, grower, believer in family, and an individual and family counsellor. I grew up in Alberta and have an intimate love for the mountains and its creatures. I’ve spent a lot of my life travelling, exploring and playing sports. I love high octane adventures and value humor, humility and kindness. I believe those things bind us in the thick and thin.
My style is deeply reflective and collaborative. Among other modalities I am fortunate to have been trained in Functional Family Therapy, an intentional, short term and targeted model which continues to inform my approach. I also have formal training in the Satir Model as well as the Gottman Method (Level 1) for Couples which merge well with the thoughtful and allied aspects of Functional Family Therapy while adding their own flare to my systemic services. I have a background that ranges from youth residential services, men’s counselling and play therapy as well as in-home parenting support and family therapy. I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge and am a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. I’ve spent the last 20 years working with families to navigate the challenges of family life and love. I trust in families and the staying power of connection and understanding. Whatever has brought you here, I’m glad you are reaching out for support.
